Open Web Statsitics

Open Web Statistics is a collection, analysis and consolidation of public web pages’
usage statistics (see figure below).

Open Web Statistics is carried out through joint action of three separate tools that are:

  • Page Stats Agent is a JavaScript code that collects web page usage/navigation stats and submits those data to its specified Page Stats Server. Being included into the web page code, Page Stats Agent is loaded along with web page, then it tracks user actions - mouse navigation and clicks, duration of content viewing, etc.

  • Page Stats Server is a single/multi server application installed on volunteers’ computers/servers that is responsible for collecting data from Page Stats Agents and submitting it to a specified FTP location at OMFICA.org. Each Page Stats Server is authorized for dedicated access to a specific directory on FTP Storage.

  • Page Stats Aggregator is a multi-server system that is responsible for web page usage/navigation statistics consolidation and analysis. Page Stats Aggregator periodically scans Page Stats Servers’ directories on FTP Storage and consolidates data on Open Web Repository for Beneficiaries’ access.
