OMFICA Crawler is a free, open source application, which is installed on volunteers’ PCs. After authentication procedures, application registers user’s PC as an Open Web Crawling node. Crawler periodically receives tasks from Crawling Manager to download specified websites, parse their content and submit the results to Open Web Repository. Crawling processes are activated when user’s computer is in idle and Internet connection is not in use.
